Jordan Matthews, who has played for the Eagles, Patriots, Buffalo Bills, and 49ers, shares with guest host Katie Baki how yoga and mindfulness have improved his mental and physical game and helped him make a position change on the field.
Glo teacher Katie Baki hosts a conversation about yoga and mindfulness with Jordan Matthews, who has played pro football for the Eagles, Patriots, Buffalo Bills, and most recently, the 49ers.
Jordan was experiencing injuries as he played, and decided he needed to switch positions, and yoga was an important part of his journey to make that switch. Katie worked with him every week on stretching, mobility, and also mindfulness and breathwork.
In the interview, Katie and Jordan discuss how playing football involves more than just physicality. Successful players must bring a successful mindset to the field. Yoga, breathwork, and mindfulness changed Jordan’s attitude toward football and helped speed his recovery time after games.
